Annual Reunions
Since in 2017, annual reunions sponsored by the Cy Fritz Foundation have been held for athletes, coaches, and supporters of Millersville University’s cross country and track & field programs. These annual reunions take place on Homecoming evening.

Due to Covid, there was no reunion in 2020.
Former MU cross country and track & field athletes are a family. Alumni stay engaged with the current programs for decades after they graduate. There is a common bond among all athletes from our programs, no matter their age. While many alumni get together during Homecoming, others volunteer at the Millersville Metrics meet each year, a tradition unto itself. However, there was never an official reunion of the programs. That all changed on April 1, 2017. During that inaugural year, there were separate reunions for female and male athletes. It quickly became apparent that the “family” needed to be together. The next year, the women’s and men’s reunions were combined. Since then, annual reunions sponsored by the Cy Fritz Foundation have been held on Homecoming evening for athletes, coaches, and supporters of Millersville University’s cross country and track & field programs.
The inaugural women’s reunion was held at the Bolger Conference Center inside Gordinier Hall on April 1, 2017. Female athletes from the 1970's onward attended. The inaugural men's reunion took place October 14, 2017 inside Gordinier Hall. In attendance were athletes from MU's very first cross country team to the “last” team from 2012, the year the men’s program was cut. It included athletes from MU's 1969 track & field team, which won MU's first PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) championship in that sport. Also in attendance were the coach and athletes from the 1981 cross country team that won MU's first NCAA National Championship.
On October 13, 2018, the reunions were combined for the first time. Eras represented spanned from the 1960’s to 2016. We were honored to have Dr. Wubah and his wife Judith visit us! All reunions since have been held on Homecoming evening and combine the women’s and men’s programs. The 2021 Reunion also served as the 40th anniversary celebration of the 1981 cross country team’s NCAA National Championship.
